This area of the website is devoted to understanding the industrial and sectoral composition of Somerset’s economy.
The data is obtained using an econometric model designed specifically for Somerset and the Heart of the South West (HotSW) Local Enterprise Partnership. The model is built on robust input data and utilises strong econometric and statistical manipulation to produce reliably accurate output data at lower geographies and sectoral breakdowns than would otherwise be obtainable from national statistics.
